Here goes nothing, or something, not sure

So, I had disappeared from Facebook for a few years and decided just recently to check back in with family and friends and visit Facebook once more. I’m really glad I did as it has put me back in touch with people I haven’t heard from in quite a while and we’re not getting any younger. Navigating Facebook isn’t like learning to ride a bicycle all over again; things don’t automatically come back to you as easily as they did in the past, I’m finding out. However, it’s going to be fun touching base with everyone again. Time to catch up and please be patient with me. I’m a little slow sometimes.

Now then, I would like to wish all of you wonderful mother’s out there a belated Happy Mother’s Day and hope you had a wonderful day with your loved ones. My late mother, Sarah, was an incredible, kind, loving, caring person and even though she passed away in 1997 at the age of eighty-two, I still think of her often. It seems like every day there is something, some sound, some event that reminds me of her. She was a character and had a killer sense of humor. And, loved her sports. So did my father, but Sarah was a little over the top when it came to her favorite teams. I can remember as a youth if  sports seasons happened to overlap, she would have one game on the TV with the sound off, watching it, and also be listening to another game on the radio. I was involved in sports in my young life and it was all thanks to her and my father. I was big into baseball and I don’t think my parents ever missed attending a game. Anyway, Sarah was good people and I still miss her dearly.

Okie-dokie, back to navigating Facebook and playing around with my website/blog. Wish me luck. There’s so much to learn.

 A great read.....
I have to go hug my dog now.

Anyone from the “Vietnam era” will identify with both the positive and negative effects of that lost war and its victims…troubled, they returned to an unappreciative country, trying to forget what they had witnessed or done. Sometimes, only the unconditional love of an animal can move them through their terrors.

Enjoyed it like a good movie,
didn't want it to end.

What an incredible book that had so many amazing messages and had me experience so many different emotions. I would strongly recommend this book to absolutely anyone. I can say with certainty that it is one of the best books I’ve read in a long time. I can’t wait to read his next book!!!
